The first webinar of the FAIR consortium entitled Targeted immunomodulation in airway epithelium to treat pneumonia, took place on 12 January, 2023.
The objective of this webinar was to introduce the concept of targeted immunomodulation as a means to treat pneumonia, with a specific focus on Toll-Like Receptor agonists and aerosol delivery. It was chaired by Prof Jean-Claude Sirard, FAIR Coordinator, and the following presentations were included:

- TLR5-dependent stimulation of immune defences in the airways - Mara Baldry, Lille, France
- Relevance and challenges associated with the inhalation route - Nathalie Heuze-Vourc’h, Tours, France
